300 Hour Volunteer Hour Luncheon










I volunteer for Rockford Memorial Hospital delivering the newspapers to the waiting areas of the hospital. So I was honored for this past year with 300 volunteered hours for the hospital. Last Saturday April 30, 2011 was my 300 Hour Volunteer Luncheon at Cliffbreakers in Rockford, Illinois. I took my husband Terry with me as a guest and we both had a wonderful lunch as you can tell by the pictures and I won the center piece the vast with the flowers too.

Rock'n Knitter's Knitting Vendor Night






Last Tuesday night April 26, 2011 was Rock'n Knitter's Knitting Vendor Night, there was lots, and lots of great stuff that was for sale. And everyone in our knitting all had a wonderful time shopping for lots of yarn, patterns, and knitting gadgets. Rockin Sock’em Battle- Update No. 3-More socks to complete

Here my socks my sock assassin's Bev Johnson and Nancy Holme completed for me, aren't they a gorgeous pair of socks.

Now all I have to do now is finish Beth Wenmer's socks for her victim Joan Koeninger. It might be another long road ahead of me since I have to start one sock and work up to row/rnd 32 of sock 2 to catch up on the other sock to knit two at the same time.

This is Bev Johnson (I) Cynthia J. Simmons was her sock victim.

This is Nancy Holme she was also Bev Johnson's sock victim. Nancy killed off Bev so Nancy had to finish the sock Bev was making for (me) Cynthia J. Simmons.

This is me Cynthia J. Simmons with my socks that I have been killed off with last Tuesday night at knitting group, that Bev Johnson started for me and was completed by Nancy Holme for me.

These are Beth Wenmer's socks that I received last Tuesday night at knitting group that I have to finish for her sock victim Joan Koeninger, I have to start with row/rnd 32 of the pattern.

These are all of our knitting group's completed socks so far.

April Snow!


The calendar says it is supposed to be April 18, 2011 but mother nature had other plans for this morning's light April snow showers. Also I love this picture at the top of my yard this morning where snow meets spring, so much for living in the midwest.

Knitting/Sheep Mug



After a my church's Rambler's walk in march, we stopped be a church member's house for hot chocolate, and I fell in love with this sheep mug called: Winter Woollies, wish I could have taken the mug home. I would be using it when I knit.
